Digital Signage | Designing for Akira Digital Media
In 2006, I had the opportunity to contribute a few ideas for a new digital signage setup and designing for Akira Digital Media; mainly advertisements, presentations which includes branding campaigns for the clients.
Finally, the construction of two new digital signage systems, located on both ends of the arrival and departure halls in Air Asia – Kota Kinabalu International Airport (Terminal 2).
The system made it possible to make direct updates via net from the office servers, with the aid of my IT buddy.
The Second Phase
After almost a year to break ROI, a new conceptual style was developed and probably for the first time in 2006, Sabah witnessed vertical screens digital advertising displays.
The construction of these two digital signage systems were located at Pacific Ngiukee Store, in Centre Point Sabah. One was located on the Ground Level escalators while another located on Level 1 at the window displays. The signage were located strategically; providing great exposure to the public and creating a huge impact for the advertisers.
Some of our clients include Atmosphere, Little Italy, Pioneer, SUDC, Perkasa Hotels, Lyscca and etc. I left ADM after they changed the management and to pursue my own design business. I’m grateful to be alongside the fantastic team who were young, enthusiastic and fun.
The 4 screen plasma displays is currently still running at Air Asia. A few others followed by setting up in coffee shops and other public locations.
Now its 2011, do you know other locations in Sabah using digital signage?
