Gogoro – The World’s First Electric Smartscooter
Introducing Gogoro – The World’s First Electric Smartscooter; a startup company from Taiwan making headlines during the recent CES 2015 in Las Vegas. The Gogoro Smartscooter is a powerful emission-free electric scooter built for people in the world’s most populated cities. It’ll reliably do smoky burnouts — several were demonstrated by the company’s test rider — and it hits 50 km/h (31 mph) in 4.2 seconds!
Take a look at Gogoro’s feature video.
Gogoro is powered by Panasonic Lithium Ion 18650 battery as the Tesla S, which means that the battery can be easily swapped out / shared at GoStations through a subscription plan. The subscription takes the place of the money you’d otherwise spend on gas; you’re basically paying monthly for the energy.
When the battery packs are plugged into GoStations, information is downloaded and can then suggest service options or alert the rider to potential problems. Gogoro will track your rides, monitor systems and gets diagnostics – All in real time.It also has always-on Bluetooth connectivity that pairs with a smartphone app, allowing users to customize various parts of the vehicle. Get creative by downloading new sounds for different actions such as booting up and shutting down. You can even customize the light sequences of the headlights and taillights.
