The World’s First NSA Proof Smartphone
The upcoming Blackphone is the world’s first NSA proof smartphone to put privacy and control ahead of everything else. Blackphone is re-shaping the landscape of personal communications, without being tied to any vendors or phone carriers. It comes preinstalled with all the tools you need to move throughout the world, conduct business, and stay in touch, while shielding you from prying eyes.
There were reports of NSA spying ‘overblown’ as they have been indiscriminately collecting the phone and Internet logs of Americans, including the latest reports of NSA gathering almost 200 million texts everyday.
The Blackphone project is a Switzerland-based join venture between U.S based Silent Circle that focuses on encryption and Geeksphone; a Spanish company behind Firefox OS developer devices, backed by several important figures in the fields of computer security, including Phil Zimmermann, creator of data encryption protocol PGP (Pretty Good Privacy).
“Blackphone provides users with everything they need to ensure privacy and control of their communications, along with all the other high-end smartphone features they have come to expect,” said Zimmermann.
The company is withholding any other details on the project until the phone’s launch and pre-ordering begins only at the Mobile World Congress, Barcelona, Spain. February 24, 2014
